About the National Honor Society
The Clayton-Bradley Academy chapter of the National Honor Society recognizes students for scholarship, service, leadership, and character — and puts those to work in programs like Student Success.
What NHS is
The National Honor Society is a national organization that recognizes high school students for academic achievement and, just as importantly, for what they do with it. Membership is not only an honor roll listing — members are expected to contribute service to their school and community.
At Clayton-Bradley Academy, Student Success is one of the main ways our chapter does that. Members volunteer as peer tutors, giving other students free, one-on-one help in the subjects they find hardest.

What we stand for
The four pillars
Every NHS chapter is built on the same four pillars. They are the standard members are held to, and the reason a service program like Student Success exists in the first place.
Service
Contributing time and effort to the school and community without expecting anything in return. Student Success is service in its most direct form.
Leadership
Taking initiative and responsibility, and being the person who organizes the thing rather than waiting for someone else to.
Character
Honesty, reliability, and treating people well — including the student who is nervous about admitting they are lost in a class.
Who runs it
Chapter officers
Officers run the Student Success program day to day, including reviewing incoming tutor requests and handling matching.
Oversees chapter operations and Student Success.
Coordinates tutor sign-ups and the roster.
Manages records and service hour logs.
Handles chapter finances.
